Long ago in a land far, far away.

"Nope. Ain't nobody got time for that."

Meet
The
BLU Team

Soldier marched passed his new teammates, examining each and every one of them carefully with a stern yet eerie look on his face that quickly forced them all into a lineup. He rotated his Cow Mangler 5000 upright to his left and placed it flat on the ground.

"Listen up, guys. If you're going to be on this team, you WILL have to dress appropriately. Rule number 1, Loadout."

He swooped up to Demoman and looked him straight in the eyes as he trembled slightly and choked down a gulp. "That means, no fancy hats." Soldier said after quickly grabbing Demo's beloved Treasure Hat off his head leaving him with his Dangeresque Shades.

"Fancy hats give away our position not only to Snipers, but to nearby enemies if we were to hide and on top of that, DO NOT give us ANY ADVANTAGE during battle... Unless it's a helmet." Soldier tossed the hat behind him, causing it to spin and land perfectly on the tip of his Cow Mangler 5000.

Ignoring some of the hilarious looks on the Demoman and a few others, Soldier shifted to the next person for inspection. Sniper.

"Can I still keep this hat on?" she asked, tapping down on her Akubra hat slightly. Wait, She?

"That can do- woah wait, you're a girl?" he asked lifting up his helmet to check if it was the light playing tricks on him again.

"Well, What does it look like?" she smirked as she tucked her long black hair behind her ear and rolled her eyes in sarcasm.

"Hmmm, tie your hair up. Don't want Pyros barbecuing your hair." He chuckled, receiving a nod from her then proceeding to Spy.

Spy looked pretty well prepared for battle with all his fancy spy tech. His balaclava did all the work of hiding all his hair and his suit and tie were tucked back neatly.

"Very good." Soldier grinned and held out his fist. It took a while for Spy to process that the guy that was kinda scary at first wanted to fist bump him but he did it anyway.

Next was Pyro. Well, Soldier couldn't really inspect him since he was covered from head to toe in a baggy blue fire-retardant suit and a black gas mask.

Scout and Heavy were sorted out so all that was left was the Engineer and Medic. They apparently were girls too and Sniper was almost relieved that she wasn't the only female on the team that could handle a recoil.

"So now that's done, introductions. The name's Ty for Tyler. Codename, General Jade." he saluted.

"Wait, we get to p-pick codenames?" Scout stuttered out in excitement.

"Think of it as-" Soldier paused. "Nicknames. But used for battle."

"Ah."

"Well, Demoman?" All eyes shifted to him in an instant.

"Uh, you can call me Demo but my name is Jonas. Codename... Uh, Demopan?" he quickly reflected the stares towards Sniper.

"Real name's Diana. It's fine if you call me Sniper but I prefer... Frozen Firefly. I'm BLU, I'm quick and I'm an unsuspecting target." she said with ease.

"Nice." Medic commented, giving her a thumbs up.

"Thanks."

Yeah, nobody was going to suspect the female enemy Sniper that couldn't exactly reload her Jarate fast enough. Spy thought and brushed off the disgusting thought.

"My name is Jacques. You may call me, MentleGeneration." he smirked as he quickly thought up the name. He had a slight French accent.

"Mh nm ih Khy. Cdnm, Scrchr." Pyro mumbled under the gas mask.

"Dude, take that off. Can't hear a single word you're saying." Soldier pointed out.

Pyro slowly unbuckled and took of his gas mask as everyone stared at him as if he were a treasure chest being opened by a bunch of looney pirates, so curious to see what was hidden. He flipped his dark Asian hair as his head came into view.

"As I was saying, my name is Kei. Codename, Scorcher." he surprisingly didn't have squinted eyes unlike his Japanese ancestors.

"Why wear the gas mask Kei? I mean uh, when you're out there?" Engineer asked curiously with her mixed British accent.

"Well, I don't want my hair to get messed up during battle. It took so long to do these streaks." he replied, pointing to the blue tips of his hair. "You're turn, Scout-san." Pyro playfully elbowed Scout in the chest.

"Alright. I'm Nathan and I... I don't really know what my codename should even be."

"Nathan? I thought that your name was Lauritz?" Soldier questioned.

"I don't like to be called Lauritz, peeps tend to call me Laura after a while and it gets really annoying. Besides, I like my middle name better." Scout muttered out showing a hint of embarrassment.

"Wait a second. How did you know that his name was Lauritz, General Jade?" Spy asked. "Please." Soldier raised his hand. "We're not on the battlefield yet, Jacques. Call me Ty."

"Dah," Heavy added. "How DID you know that?" Heavy said in his Russian accent.

Soldier proceeded to unzip his jacket's pocket and pulled out a medium sized file stamped with a Builders League United insignia in dark blue ink. "All in the files." he patted the file with the back of his hand.

"You have files on us?!" Sniper exclaimed as Soldier slipped the file back in his pocket and zipped it up.

"Just what is necessary. Stats, nothing more." Soldier assured. "A man needs to know what he's getting in to. After all, I AM your senior."

"True." Demoman muttered and crossed his arms as Sniper managed to calmed down.

"But I do believe it is Heavy-san's turn." Pyro interjected.

"Well, my name is Lev. My codename would beee..."

Hmmm, think.
A cool badass name for the Heavy Weapons Guy.
Hmmmmmm...

"Jill Sandvich."

And with that, he threw everyone into a laughing fit.

"HAHAHAHA J-JILL SANDWICH-" Scout burst out as he clutched onto his knees.

"It's 'Sandvich' not 'Sandwitch'." Heavy facepalmed.

"AHAHAHA 'SAND WITCH' HEHEHEHOHOHOHAHAHA-" Soldier completely lost it.

Sniper's face was as red as a tomato from holding in her laughter, Spy started laughing to the point of snorting, Medic and Engineer tried to keep each other from losing balance and falling, Pyro couldn't even look at Heavy with a straight face and Demoman was struggling for air. Heavy just stood there dumbfounded.

After the laughter fest died down, it was Engineer's turn.

"I'm Alexia and I REALLY like BACON so..." she looked up and rubbed her chin and suddenly snapped her fingers. "Baconeer. There, you have it."

"So can you coo-" Scout was cut off by Pyro's elbow hitting his chest again but not nearly as soft as before.

"Anyways." Soldier turned to Medic. "Last but not least...?"

"Greta." Medic stated. "Codename, Gretel."

"As in 'Hansel and Gretel' fairy tale Gretel?" Scout scoffed.

Medic shot Scout a glare. "No, as in 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' Gretel."

"Damn."

Oh man, this was gonna be a heck of a team.
Let me know what you guys think! Also, this is my very first fanfic I have ever done without a beta and the first I ever did without leaving it for a few days and continuing weeks later.

Keep in mind that this is supposed to be in the fun TF2 universe of respawn systems, the existence of the Internet, insane Medic surgeries, a team full of over 9000 Soldier that are possibly spawn camping, Spies that can throw Sappers, basically the universe of the entire Meet The Team.

First critique, and I have to say...This is beautiful. I really love it. I almost want to do one myself, but I reckon copying the idea and all...yeah.

So I really like the fact that there are 3 girls on the team (there are 3 right?). It just seems really cool to me.

And also...the OC's. I'm amazed that you actually went into detail into creating some of them, which is better than just coming up with a random name and making them up as you go along with the story. It's good to know you also included your own OC/Ponysona/Whatever it's called <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>

Always nice to know a little bit about the team before going into battle with them! It's not just like: Demoman, Pyro, Scout, Medic, go to fight, asdfghjkl.

If there's a sequel (with an actual battle) then I'll certainly be looking forward to it! ^^
